Just installed latest WP with no theme. When I make a page it appears on the bar just beneath the banner. If I then create another page and make its parent the first page created then it will appear slightly indented and under the original page in a drop down menu. Sorry if that is confusing. But I am just clarifying what is going on atm. What I want is to have a sort of menu in the side menu. Say I want to have Red. Blue. Green. Pink. All appear in the side menu then when each is clicked that list the pages associated i.e click on Red in sidebar and then a list table of pages comes up with pages. i.e History of Red. Red as an adult. etc etc. How can I do this with wordpress? Okay let me try and it explain it better. You have maybe these 'categories' in the side bar. Red Blue Pink When you click on Red instead of it showing pages in decending date that have been catagorized red. I want it to show them ast a list NOT: History of Red by admin 28th July 2011 Red was born in Prussia in 1902... Red as an Adult by admin 28th July 2011 Red was a good kid ...... BUT THIS: History of Red Red as an Adult
it's better if you post your link here so everybody can take a look on what/where is the actual problem... wait, is the site is on your sig?
Finding a good theme is the best advice I can give. No html headaches. Find a 3 column template and start from there.
What I can understand, you probably talking about category archive pages. You can edit the look from Appearance > Editor > archive.php (make sure your theme is selected on the dropdown box).
try this, what is the theme name btw? Go to your theme > Theme Options > Layout Uncheck the Publish date
You can do this like this. Create 3 categories Red, Blue, Pink after that add pages related to categories in those. Place a category widget in the sidebar and you should be good to go
Wordpress is pretty good at that, Plugins are available to do onsite SEO on every page. Sitemaps can be made easily. I would say that very CMS is pretty good as onsite SEO
