I ha dan issue a while back with the W3 cache causing an error on my site..I deletd the plugin, but now when i try to login to my website via site/wp-admin i get this W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/mysitesname/public_html/wp-content/db.php. isnt that saying g delete the database? I dont want to do that, but i need to add content to the site..whats the way around this?
Use an FTP application (like FileZilla) and open wp-content folder. There, you can see a file called db.php. Just delete it. No, it is not the database..it is a file created by W3 Total Cache. You can also take a backup of the file before deleting if you are not sure about it
try to rename the w3-total-cache/ folder in the plugins directory, which will deactivate it, then you can login. and try to reverting the folder name to the default and beginning the installation process over from the start.
Rename your W3 Cache files in the following directory. /wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache /wp-content/ w3 cache files located here as well.
