I have this blog http://geoland.org about web development/marketing and I have enabled the TOP COMMENTATORS plugin and sometimes I get posts from people with websites in other languages that I don't understand !!! The comments are OK not very engaging but not worthless !!!

for example a guy posted with what seems like his real name and the link goes to ZONLELAKI.COM what would you do in such a case ??? How do you handle such comments ??

Check if the link is banned or not. If it is not, just leave it there. Just make sure that they don't write advertisements irrelevant to your comments.

To explain for you, ZONLELAKI is a sales page selling products that can recover "the pride of men". :D

I have enabled comment moderation on all of my blogs and hence no comment would be posted in my site without my moderation . So I do have a look at the comments and delete them if they look as spam to me.

I get more than 40 spam comments daily .

Yeah, it's spam. Top Commentators plug in makes you a very targeted blog.

I don't use Akismet, I have a sort of math question before posting and I have successfully eliminated ALL automated spam ... this one was posted by a human and I was wondering how you would handle this particular one ...

I know the top commentators does attract lots of crooks ...

You're one set of spam software behind. Latest update of the main link spammer software out there can do math captchas.

It does not really matter, it was simple to setup and ever since I installed it I have gone from 300 spam emails/day to 0 for the last 2 months ....

Yes this particular one is not worthless but I was afraid of where the link leads to ....

You can also just auto-approve new comments before they're posted, or ip ban the spammers.
