Wp hosting and installation.

I need opinion on the best host for WP blogs. Do the hosts provide free installation?

I have a domain registered but want to host with another host.

    Another question:
Long time back, I had signed up for a free WP blog. It had widgets just like blogger's Page elements. It was easy to create blocks for various things like 'Recent visitors' widget provided by Mybloglog.com, 'Do Follow' bloggers blog roll, an image, add AdSense etc. I hope I conveyed it correctly.

My question is, where do I get that facility. I need a few such hemes so that I can select the one that I like.

I am ready to pay for the WP installation with those widget driven templates (including AdSense) and some important plugins.

    I thank all who reply.:)

As for the widgets, you could select widget ready themes from here- http://themes.wordpress.net/

There are plenty of other sources for wordpress themes, I just gave you one.

Your hosts should not charge for installation. Most hosts meet wordpress's basic requirements, and some have fantastico too. Fantastico allows for automatic installation, although I'd recommend you to do it manually.

Many paid hosts will do just fine for wordpress blogs.. And many have fantastico which will make quick automatic install of the default wordpress application.

A paid host will allow more control over your wordpress site and database, rather than on a free host site! I recommend using a paid host for a blog, even if a cheaper paid host..

Than after your WP is installed you will want to add the other goodies and various plugings to the default install. So you will than be more able to do all those other things with the widgets and placing special function item things where you want them..

If you would like more help, don't hesitate to ask or send a PM.

For hosting I would recommend using Hostgator and yes, you can install Wordpress using Fantastico in the CPanel - check my WP installation tutorial.

And perhaps you might like to use one of my Adsense WP themes.

    Good luck

Any host that has Fantastico in their cpanel will suit your need for an easy wordpress installation.

Great work Andrej, I would love to try that color biz theme; but I'd prefer if it were in the colors of the default theme.
I just don't like that dark grey in the main body, but I don't know if any other color would work with the back ground, header, etc.
