WP frontage, how to add "about" page & recent posts

In wordpress, how do I add the about me page on top and then all of my recent posts below it?

Do I need a plugin

depends on what you want to do...do you want the links or the do you mean a kinda sticky about on top of all your pages.
The latter is done with a plugin called adhesive from Red Alt. His server is still a bit down but you can get it from here http://svn.redalt.com/projects/Adhesive/trunk/

If you want the links to appear you just have to dive in the sidebar.php

 

Do you mean the position of them in the sidebar? You need to edit the sidebar template for the theme your using

 

Maybe better if you showed us where and what you want

 

You need you to edit the sidebar file if the current theme doesn't provide for either

Some themes have an inbuilt space for the about me/ contact at the top

 

i think he/she means that on top of the pages he wants an about me section, and then below that he wants the post?

would u want it displayed in the header of the theme (displayed site-wide) or just on the homepage?
