WP database error

    I just installed Wp on this site and added a theme and it is giving me a database error on the category tab...

    Can anyone tell me if it looks like a problem with the theme or a glitch with the WP install?

    is a 2.3.1 WP , see theme compatibility , if you have this error after you installed let us know but i see now is ok

    I was checking to seee if it was the theme...but couldn't tell. I put it back to the theme I am trying to use - can someone check again please?

    this is the error , i don;t remember if was there with the default theme

    WordPress database error: [Table 'amie06_wrdp1.wp_categories' doesn't exist]
    SELECT cat_ID, cat_name, category_count FROM wp_categories ORDER BY cat_name ASC

    yes, that is the error...

    It is a database error...so I guess I need to uninstall and re-install?
