as far as I remember it generates a more seo friendly page on your server using html

it has a lot of limitations though and can put a lot of stress on your server. If your blog posts get a lot of comments this probably isn't a great plugin to use in my opinion.

Yes it saves the pages a visitor visits (whoever he or she is) in the cache directory which is generated automatically when you install it. Then whenver someone else visits the same page, it brings back that page to life by showing it again rather than generating the whole page/post everytime.

And its the best plugin after All in one SEO. Everyone should use it.. :)

See the cache clears up automatically after a specified period of time.. by default it is 3600 seconds but of course you can edit it to lengthen or shorten that. After every 3600 seconds the content is automatically updated with the new contents. That takes care of the comments well. If you are editing a post or like applying a new theme you should temporarily disable caching from the wp cache menu and do it for the changes to appear instantly, otherwise it shows the changes after that 3600 seconds or the time you specify it to refresh. Also you can even add specific pages/posts/comments to stay dynamic and never be cached at all from the same wp cache menu. :)

I do not recommend that only actively commented blogs also when i was using that (i am not using wp for 6 months) it has problems with rating like mysql stuff.
