WP and Sales Pages - Not Good for Ranking? Please Advise!

I read an article today that said that doing sales pages on WP was not a good idea. His logic was that the search engines expect constant updates from blogs and as sales letters typically don't, any initial "rush to the top" that you see wouldn't last. I'm very troubled by this because my only product is on a WP sales letter theme. And it is true, I did "soar to the top" kind of quickly. Too good to be true (I'm a Negative Nancy). I don't want to lose my position. Should I worry?

In my views, there is nothing like this. If you setup to display page on front end instead of blogs, it will be treated as a site. If you are sitting on the top rankings, means nothing to worry unless you have done something as blackhat.
