    Try and read about anchor text first, this is a big one.

    After that you will want to change your sig.

    because his sig is completely unacceptable. :D ... he should use keywords as anchor text rather then the url and that will help his site perfom better for those terms

    Actually i know all about anchor text, but i didnt want to just join a forum and stick 4 weighted links in my sig (not on the first day anyway) :)
    and besides, I wouldnt know which keywords to use, as i have so many topics.

    I see my site is dying a death again in the 'website review' page.
    ...28,000 pages of c**p rings a bell :(
    and I have no defense, the last thread ran into 8 pages about how i should learn .php mysql, databasing, CSS, .asp, format my drive and erase the words Frontpage from my memory :).....oh...and even the punctuation in my posts got it in the neck.
    Too bad I cannot learn all those things in 5 mins, however good things come to those that wait, my main goal however is adding content, rebuilding my site to look like every other site on the internet will just have to wait.

    actually, joking apart, i am happy to link to all 3 sites that you have in your sig..that is what my site is about.
    I do need to know which towns they are in though. Yours is in Kirkcaldy, i got that far !
    and will be linked later on my 'Kirkcaldy computers' page
    this is great isnt it...it might catch on :)
