Wow, i wrote a thread on here this morning about my site getting to a PR5 and my other sites losing PR. I have just checked my sites again and my site that got a PR5 is now back to a PR4 and my sites that lost PR are now back up!

Is this the norm for a google update?

This was my earlier thread by the way: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=152220

It hasn't settled across all of the datacentres yet. Updates seem to be taking longer and longer these days.

It means your site still is a PR5, it's just not been exported to all of the datacentres, it depends on which datacentre you're pulling the results from at any one time.
Check them all here - http://livepr.raketforskning.com/

The same thing has been happening to me for two days: sites that had one page rank are going to a new page rank and back again. Sometimes a simple refresh of the browser shows the difference.

Last time this happened I believe it took upwards of one week for everything to settle down. I imagine as the internet continues to expand, that updates will take longer and longer to accomplish.
