It's only been a day, but I've almost doubled my CTR on my 200x200 adsense ad I have on my post page on my site (at the bottom of the story). I've been using Adsense Beautifier for about a month now and noticed a slight increase in ctr (just using the stock images next to ads). Anyways, check out what I'm using now for the image next to ads : http://www.celebslam.com/tom-cruise-katie-holmes-wedding-pictures My tip: take the time to change the stock images if you're using Adsense Beautifier
Maybe that's why google is sending out these kind of mails: forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=181157
I've heard so many conflicting reports on the issue of images next to ads. For example, read further down in that thread about the guy that was told by google images are OK. I don have a clearly defined border between the pics and the ads.
Question is: will you risk a warning for just a few more clicks? I rather wait two months to get the same revenue than that I lose my account next month. Oh yeah, I also used the images next to the ads too. Even with huge borders to seperate them from the ads and asked google for opinion. They didn't liked the "content" of the images and told me to remove it or I should change the content. I chose to remove it, who knows if the next googlician is less nice and triggerhappy on the banbutton?
If the company is so excited about this tool- why are NONE of the ad units on their site using it? HAHAHAHA
Why would I be banned? I've already received an email telling me that images next to ads are ok--as long as there is a noticeable border between the ad and the picture. Nick
Too much debate on this topic for me. It would be nice if G would at least state it one way or another in the TOS though.
I use a boarder around each picture and a solid boarder between the images and the ad, and also move the pics away from the ad a little..
I am also too scared to make the move towards images next to adsense. I like my adsense too much to risk it
Putting "dancing bikini girls" next to the images is a bit week and mis-leading, but whatever gets you through the night, I suppose. BTW, your website has been down for a day or so.
