I thought blog backlinks were junk.... Well 2 of my sites that were ranking 1st page for months and months.... dropped to 2nd page I knew it was because I must have lost a backlink.... I checked... and I lost the blog backlink on a PR4 page..... They deleted the post for who knows why... maybe because I only had 1 post ANYWAY.... I have now learned that BLOG LINKS REALLY ARE POWERFUL Does anyone know where I can find High PR blog pages?????
In Google, of course! Type in search string something that only blogs have. ("post comment", RSS, etc...) And sort the results using SEOQuake (in FF of course). That's all.
Blogs are worth dude! i just sold 10 links from my 6 blogs (not on DOT com) he is very happy with the results!
Blogs are huge and are actually the top of many diffrent huge key terms so yes Google does give plenty of authority for blogs. I to experianced the same thing with loosing links from a blog which I think comes with the territory since bloggers are constantly changing their blog. Sometimes they have the no follow removed, but when spam gets to be to much they will usually place the no follow back in.
You also have to consider the sheer magnitude of the Blogging community • On July 31, 2006, Technorati tracked its 50 millionth blog • The blogosphere is doubling about once every 6 and a half months • About 175,000 new weblogs are created each day • There are more than 2 blogs created each second of each day about 1.6 Million postings per day, or about 18.6 posts per second. Because of this, it is completely natural to have backlinks from Blogs, Google actually expects it!
Wicked stats man ! I know this for sure - Backlinks from Blog comments are way better then forum signatures.
Blogs are just like a normal website. Link juice is link juice regardless if its a blog or normal site!
True True.Blogs are Mostly Pre-Optimized by Blogger or WP so, its easier to get your Links Crawled by Big G.This doen't mean Forums, Guestbooks do not give you any Juice
Treat the blogs just as normal website, as long as your link is not listed as nofollow, then it will provide with the juice power for the big G.
Of course they give you juice, especially when they are from relevant and authoritative sources..which is why I focus a good portion of my backlink building on .edu blogs using the edu blog finder tool http://www.edublogfinder.com
Blog commenting is really an effective way to get high PR and get relevant ranking on search engine ranking position indeed. But blog comments are not permanent.
