    Hey wiiman.

I also started my own aStore at amazon but now sure because I'm not sure if the website will converts me well. It seems to me like the website is dead.. like it needs more graphics , banners and shits like that.

I gonna give it a try and hope it will work :)

Well touching on conversions would you believe I am getting conversions of over 65% some days. This sort of conversion is just unheard of i would have thought with the average being 5-10%.

Best days so far have been 89 orders and so far this month iv made more than last months total its rediculous. I am not sure about the increase weather its because of amazon redesign? I mean we are still 6 weeks away from xmas so would not have thought things would ramp up this early. Mind you I have not experienced an xmas rush before as this is my first year in AM.

I am now experimenting with other scripts to use with amazon, like mr rats and ghost scripter, but by the sound it your bound for supplemental hell, something which i dont want to visit.

Another bonus of amazon is the additional products people buy when buying an item in your niche. I mean seriously who buys some of the crap that people buy, i had one person buy a $250 hand bag made of used seat belts. Hey on 7.5% commission level who am i to care what people buy which shopping after visiting my sites. I only wish the cookie lasted longer than 24hours :(

Wiiman good luck with the rest of the month and here is a big cheers to xmas.

    Hi mate,

Well with amazon you dont make any commission until the product is shipped. Usually within 24 hours for me but some items can be up to a week depending on if they are pre order or in stock.

There are only about 3 or 4 scripts i know of, and all of them really dont impress me. I am actually contemplating using the joomla and mr rats script with the AFP bridge which allows you to use it in joomla.

Feel free to pm me mate as I think we may be able to help each other out on development of our sites together.

I only have experience with the US amazon store but internation sites have come across my mind but unfortunatley I dont speak any other language so im kind of stuck there.

There is not too much info out there though on amazon store integrations but will post here anything interesting i find.

    Peace.

    Aj.

    Hey TeMpTate

    65% is AMAZING.
and you are using the regular store ? I mean you don't use any script like Associate-O-Matic.
I installed that Associate-O-Matic and it's seems to be good because I can add my own header and add some banners for other stores.

and hey, maybe the boom of the xmas already started ? ;]

btw , when amazon paying ? I heard they are paying once a quarter is that true ?

    Thanks :)

I really like thier widgets. I really think they could come off the money a little though. Isn't thier payouts really low in your opinion?

    no,
4% at electronics is very high . and after only 7 sales ( i think ) the comission increase to 6%.
most of electronics mechants on CJ or independent merchants will probably give u 1 - 3%.

I don't know what is the average comission on other neiches so I don't know what happend there.

btw temptate, how do you drive traffic to your store ? PPC \ blog \ SEO ?

    Thanks.

Well to clarify it depends on what your selling, if you are selling lots of cheap non electronic products you are best going with the performance commission. For instance I am on 7.5% but the leap to 8.5% is massive like 10x volume i am doing now. If you are selling higher prices items in electronics you are better to go with the flat 4% as you will make more. Amazon all round is good to work with and i have never had a problem getting paid. Astores have no issue with sup results as its all basically in an iframe so the content is not on your site to get penalised by sup results.

You are best to create content on the items though and link to your stores otherwise you have no seo benefit.

All my traffic is natural seo and no ppc. I reccomend using a blog as well for seo benefit.

It does not take long to be on the higher commission which I usually surpass in the first few days.

It really comes down to picking a niche that your interested in so you can write on it. If you dont you get bored and Cant be bothered updating or writing content.

Widgets... nah i dont use any of them just astores. And the good thing is you can customise the astore css to match your site which helps alot.

Anyway hope to get this thread re-started as amazon is definately a winner in my books. No niche discussion please only methods tips and tech details..

    Hey TeMpTaTe

    Much Thanks for the tips.
    I don't think I gonna do SEO \ Blog .
I don't have time for this I mean, xmas is just around the corner and I will not have enough time to do seo (seo is month's of working) .
I think I'll do PPC - I already started yesterday with adcenter I hope to see some sales .
Did you get already reports of yesterday (November 12 )?

    Thanks :)

Hi mate yep just updated about an hour ago. :) ppc works well with amazon, but i prefer adwords to msn. Strictly traffic speaking. Good luck mate and let us know how you go.

If you need a hand with keywords let us know i may be able to help. I assume you have the tools...

    Hey mate.

Yea, I gonna do adwords too and I will update soon ;)

By the way, Did you heard about something like "Black Friday" or something like that ? I heard it's after the thanks giving and it's the beginning of the "buying" season.
    Is that true ?

    Thanks.

That's it , it all comes down to trial and error but the best advice I could give is to niche. find one product and develop from there, write reviews as content on your site, dont just make a site and throw an astore on it, you wont sell a thing. If you have decent traffic already then widgets may work but starting fresh its a no go.

Good job with Amazon. It seems near impossible for me to even sell 1 product from Amazon.
