    It could also be that the snippet that Google is showing is affecting your click-thru rates. Look in Google Webmaster Tools at the Search Query screen. That should give you an idea of how often that page is showing for the keyword phrase and how often people are clicking on the SERPs entry.

    If you did not optimize your meta description properly, Google could be constructing a not so good snippet rather than choosing to display the meta description as the Google snippet. If you can write a good meta description with a call to action and get Google to display it often then you can often drastically increase your click-thru-rates in the SERPs.
