All the hate sites and reports are dated back to bloody 1999, remember the days ya'd download some free porn (was the only way to get it back then) and you'd get the annoying install .exe to watch or use this file, back then the legalities on the net were shady and you weren't required to give the customers/installers a way to get rid of the bugger - that has changed and is easy to do (get rid of). Oh I'm a Psychic : "It steals our affiliate earnings" I hear you scream, yeah well guess who uses them to advertise - yup the same people you are affiliated with - yes it does trigger that affiliate networks ad's when the surfer visits your sites - when else are they going to show that ad' ? what else can trigger it ? do you think the affiliate buying ad's is going to say "can you stop showing our page when it's triggered by an ad' on a webmasters site" I don't think so as that costs the affiliate 1cent or less (to be shown through Seekmo/Zango) where as if the surfer clicked your banner it could cost them 20-50 times as much (especially if it converts). Just be careful "razaese" several things will occur now : Your traffic will drop. Your page views will decrease. Hence both of above lead to Alexa rank dropping. Find it hard to advertise with some people now as you will get rejected for sending hits to a Gateway (installer). WebMasters may get mad and hack your site. (it's happened to us) You will be turning away visitors with alternate browsers. And with Seekmo issues : If in fact you are making this cash. You will have several Zango employees scouting your site and running periodical checks on your site. Make sure it's legit and you are within legal procedures. Don't use the Zango Gateway - Seekmo is for Adult sites. Make sure after install the visitor does goto the actual video - as some times it turns into a lucky dip (we were caught in this debacle).
