Sorry, had to post this Set my Amazon aStore up about three days ago and already have my first sale It's kind of exciting, I wanted to try something new and its already proving to be a good start. I am pretty new to advertising and other products other than PPC types, so here's to a better program. I am starting to wonder, I run a gaming site, if it would be the type of niche better off with this type of prgram? Thoughts?
Hey, congrats. Well, u can always try to advertise anything related to video games on your website. Maybe u manage to sell 10 or 20 PSX3
Thanks. Because of this, I've been reading around more about these types of programs, and it seems Amazon doesn't pay too well? Ah well, still gonna test the waters, liking it so far.
Congrats! Yeah I just opened my first Affiliate store on December 5th. Before I put the webpage together, I heard a lot of things about amazon paying very small compare to commission junction. I figured since not too many people are using amazon because they're using commission junction instead, then I should go with the less popular one. Besides, from my personal experience, I've been ripped off on buying from ebay 2 times this year. I always know that amazon will come through and if not, I can always get my money back.
Amazon, may not pay such great commission, but the do have a huge range of products and are trusted by many consumers. Because of this, I believe that conversion of clicks to sales, will be greater for most situations. I would rather earn 5% commission on 100 sales than 10% on 10 sales.
Already up to three sales, I am sure I found something that works now I haven't heard much of commission junction, but the point about Amazon being trusted is one reason I decided to use it. My conversion rates seem unbelievably great over the past few days, with none or my reports putting below 30%. Not sure if this really is good, but it seems to be a great figure to me
Congrats on the first bites. As with anything, you'll have a higher sales % with fewer sales and/or lower-priced items. These numbers mean nothing on a large scale--only when comparing period to period results within the product line. The bottom line is earnings. You could have a 50% conversion ratio, 20 sales and $20 in earnings. Meanwhile, someone else has a 5% conversion ratio, 2 sales and $80. Since we're all utilizing different product mixes, one person's conversion ratio means nothing to another person and vise versa.
congrats for your sales and your site looks very neat. my astore hasn't generated anything yet thankfully my blog already did some sales, although it's not much. especially this December. I believe that's because of X-Mas
Nice, I was researching amazon as well, and I was wondering if you set up a landing page or are you just using the astore amazon gives you?
I have a main site that I link to the aStore with (no other promotion), and have the site look built into the aStore CSS. It's not the nicest thing ever, but the aStore doesn't give you much flexibility with the way its coded. If you wanna see, check out the link in my sig, link to the store is in header. Feel free to buy something
Your Zelda site is nicely done and the integration with aStore is good as well, im not suprised your conversions are high. Best of luck, hope you get many more sales!
For me, the first sale is too much encorage thousands of sale later that Since i got a first order and first commission, It realized me to know that, it's real and work, If we try best effort, then it's sure that we can make a lot of items sold out and gain much more commission, then I try and try Till now, I got more than thousands orders, This is totally willpower came from the first sale ^_^ I cheer you up, Anyway congratulation for that first sale ^__^
