Anyone from Saskatchewan region , if so i hope everyone made home safe and sound , we got major blizzard situation, will last till 9 pm . Visibilty = 0 , can see only the front cars lights nothing more. Driving in snow is fun as long as u do not hit anyone. Had a big trailer (one that moves really big stuff with like 12 tires or something ) spinning its ass off infront of my car, wow that was hella scary. The most scary part is : When all the sudden a white sheet of heavy snow blows, and all you can see is your windshield and nothing else, its like driving with blindfolds. And if you got a standard like me your feet's hurt after driving for 2.5 hrs which usually takes 30 mins .. So if anyone want to share their experience of blizzard driving do so.
two years ago it took me 8 hours to drive a 1 hour drive from columbia, sc to charlotte, nc, due to a blizzard and ice storm...in the south we are not prepared for such things, heck, I think the state only owns 1 snow plow...
Yaa columbia is crazy even like 2 weeks back storm took out most of the city Victoria. My brother used to live there and they do not get much snow, so a storm is shocking and killed power , roads and what not. Every city/town in canada needs to be prepared its not like global warming is going away, its getting worse.
I'm in Battleford, Sask. I couldn't believe it when I looked out the window this morning. I've got snow coming in my house from the front and back doors. I'm just glad I'm a work at home mom. I don't have to go out if I don't want to. I was going to go to the post office today, but I think I'll wait a few days.
I just finished watching the news. I had no idea how bad it really was. People were stranded at Costco for hours and the city pulled off all the two trucks and city crews. Business were shut down early and now all the emergency workers are checking stranded vehicles to make sure people aren't freezing inside. Now I'm REALLY glad I got to stay inside with my kids.
LOL! Yesterday and half of today I had da window open cause yesterday it was hot. Right now it's....snowing!!!!!!!!!! (Oregon)
That's pretty much how it was here. Saskatchewan is the wacko-ist. It will probably be raining next week.
It was 80 here on monday, today it was 60 or so. I'm glad its FINALLY cooled off. Its been way too hot this winter so far.
Nice there is a place called Oregon on Planet Zeekois ?? They closed higways in and out from this city and some bridges here also. Its suppose to snow tonight , so aint going to work tomorrow i aint a wacko @MorgansMom , u really morgans mom??, wasnt morgan the hotel Serial killer or something ?
I do not recall the movies name, but its about a guy who kills girls in hotels, morgans or maybe bates hotel something like that is the name of that movie. And it must be fun been a mom of a cute little girl . Dunno when i will have kids of my own ahkip does it ever snow at ur place?
I'm from Calgary and tell you what? Its freezing here as well. Although we didn't get the blizzard like you did yesterday..its still cold..I don't know what people down east are complaining about global warming for Hey, don't you think its funny how BC has had such a crazy winter so far...Oh well, us Albertans are kinda jealous of BC aren't we?
Last night after the blizzard, I snuck out for a cigarette. (I only have one when I've had a really stressful day and I never smoke in the house). I was really nice out. I think it was only -10 or something. But this morning the sun was shining and it was crystal clear out and it's frickin -32 degrees Celsius with -43 wind chill!! WTF? Next Tuesday is supposed to be +2. This weather is making me depressed. And yes, it is very fun being the mom of a cute little girl, and a cute little boy. They're also a handful though being single. The Office is on, I'm out.
