1. went from #167 to #8 for aim icons
2. went from #139 to #11 for buddy icons
both relatively good keywords. I love you guys

My ads have been live for a couple of weeks now but I have seen no noticable increase in links?
Where are you folks looking.
My site has a weight of approx 1700 is this enough?
And how does the weight translate into the number of links you will receive?

 

Are you checking beta.search.msn.com? My weight isn't much more than yours and I've been getting a few extra links a day, not as much as some, but I'm only long and lanky compared to some of the Sumos here!

I will make a note of the links on msn beta each day to see my progress.
My main target keyword is a tough one and I am up against some giants.
I am fed up with my site doing extremely well in the allin results but poorly in the general serps.
I think its down to the age of the top sites and the thousands of pages they have.
How do they do that?

 

It's more complicated than this, but I've noticed approximately 1 new link in MSN beta per 10 points of weight. I usually just divide the weight by 10 to estimate how many links I could get.

That could mean you need to improve your on-page/on-site SEO.

 

What weight do you have pointing to these ads? I'd like to know as to gauge what I should be seeing from my ads.

And yes, this coop ad network is genius and very nice!

i've got buddy icons as 5 and aim icons as 1 as aim icons is far less competitive.

 

Woohoo! I can't wait to see what happens with my ads. My sites are nowhere, farther down than the 200 spot, for the keywords I'm targeting. I'm hoping that they'll start showing up #50 and above since they started so far down.

1. Depending on the keywords you are targeting, it may or may not be enough ... Just keep adding decent content to your site which G will index and your weight will grow.

2. There is not direct translation ... the higher you weight the more your ads are displayed, the greater the chance of your links increasing.
