Really depends on the type of site. My product sites are doing awesome. I am getting so-so results for my forums and non-product sites.
I have better luck if I don't make the ad the same color as the background. The product picture always has a white background and it looks tacky when the ad color is different. Also these ads look like any other banner ad until you scroll over the ad and you get the animated movement. So my theory is that you need to place the add in between content and your navigation so when the visitor has finished reading and going to navigate to another page they scroll over the add with their mouse pointer and activate the movement and that movement draws them in. Going to experiment with this and see if it works And of course you have to do some work and find products related to your page not just slap up the Ipod ads and hope for the best.
Good points from Trippen. You should take his advice. Another thing you can try is to remove the border line of the eMiniMalls. Good luck!
Looks great now You should use channels to trace which placement works the best for you. For e.g., the advertisement beside you top banner. If it performs badly, try to remove it. If your ctr is still very slow, you may refer to the advertisement placements of www.usedmac.ca. Try different placements to optimize your revenue(that''s why we need channel). Cheers~
I suspect you'll get lower CTR with pages with so many ads on them - you've got 5 on a lot of your individual pages which could be a bit of overkil and cause ad blindness. Just my two cents....
I have five Chitika ads running on the frontpage of my website but once a visitor navigates to another page there is only 1 Adsense unit and 1 Adlinks unit running on each page. It seems to work good for my site. But if anyone has any suggestions to improve I am all ears.
DPTony, Try using your post titles as the target keyword. Most of the time this will pick out a relevant ad for each post. Try out the post title on the chitika ad unit at chitika's home page to see which works best.
How about you put with web developement related product? Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash, Front page, etc...
