Google has now added adwords to the predictive search! So now you have paid results before even hitting the search button! (didnt check if its the same with google instant, as I hate it!)

How does this effect search, will less competent users start to go direct to sites instead of going to the search results page? Will google lose money with this? are users more likely to click on more adwords links when displayed with a search results page?

Where else will Google sqeeze a penny from?

It looks like this is main google's direction - to push paid ads everywhere and momentize 100% their space and features with paid options. It definitely will boost revenue for google, but advertisers will pay more for nothing.
Google becomes like dollarama - you need spend more time to find what you are looking.
@drhowarddrfine - waiting for your comments :). (btw, you don't have to quote every part of each post).

That sounds of taking advantage for Google and to the advertisers.

Um... check again. Its is not an ad.
Its just an advancement on their predictive search (a direct link to the most likely result).
    You shouldn't jump to conclusions.

If it was an ad, then it would "have" to be labeled as one (EG Sponsored, Ad, etc)

Imagine that. An advertising company placing ads on their web site. Sounds like 100% of the people on DP. Who is calling the kettle black?
    I didn't.

Doesn't matter to me as long as the results are relevant.
