Wouldn’t it be great if there’s an option to retract your PM

I think at some point or another we are bound to have made a mistake either sending the PM to the wrong person or giving outdated information. If there’s a recall, i think it would be great to save us on the long list of explanation to be done. What do you guys think? Just like what you can do with outlook email. Will it be possible on DP someday?

You can "unsend" email from Outlook?

Well, it can be done if you have the email account on exchange server. On normal pop/http/imap accounts, that is not possible. And also provided the recipient has not opened the email.

outlook can do it for emails if the recipients allow such retraction and especially on exchange servers

    ----

as for PM, i dont think thats a good thing, because you will never know how some people will abuse it as "destroying proof" for some deals or agreements so other party cant show any proofs.

How is this going to be possible? when someone receives a PM they get an email saying they got one.. you can't delete an email from their inbox.

Yeah, that's one of the obstacles. It's true to say that. I guess vbulletin never thought of creating that option in the first place.

I'm pretty sure you can do this with MySpace messages. Used to be able to, anyhow, haven't done this for some time.
