Would you...

I'm thinking about buying a template from templatemonster.com. My only concern is that the same template may be floating around for 1000s of websites. My budget is low so a customized template is not feasible - $60.

Do any of you use already made templates? If you currently don't - would you use one?

    Thanks in advance.

I would go with a customized template.

Although if money is a problem, I will go with a pre-made one like that and as soon as the money start coming in, face lift the site in approx. 8 months after launch.

    my 2 cents

Templates are looking very professional these days. I would definitely use them, but tweak & customize them to call your own :)

If you are going to modify it then I would say go for it. Otherwise there is a good chance that that template is floating around all over the place.

Since most of the templates there are made in photoshop and they normally give you all the files, it is usually pretty easy to customize them.

Get a template monster one and play around with changing some key colors to get something a bit different.

Go on ebay and buy a couple of those cds that are packed with templates. I personally think they are pretty good. (and v. Cheap)
