I'm asking this because genuine ink cartridges and toners are becoming more pricey over the years - to the detriment of SMEs with limited operational budget. If you can have it your way, would you consider alternative printer cartridges or ink refills to save up on costs?
I use compatible cartridges and I haven't had any problems with them. Although I think that in the case of color the compatible inks aren't as vibrant as the OEM inks. I did try refilling cartridges on my own for a while but I made some real messes with that effort. I can't really recommend doing that.
I use the store brand Office Max cartridges and they work like a charm for me. I have 3 kids who are homeschooled so we go through a lot of ink and the Office Max ones save us a fortune.
