Maybe such a site already exists but I would like a site that allows me to keep track of loans and balances. I occasionally loan out upwards of thousands and I'd like to be able to put those loans into an account and allow the borrower access to see how much they owe and what payments have been attributed to them. I'd also like to use it as an electonic piggybank. Instead of giving cash to kids which tends to burn holes in their pockets I'd like to have a way to allow parents to put money into an account which has an interest rate that they decide on. The kid could then also have a wish list so they can log in and see how much money they've earned doing whatever and how close they are to being able to buy what they want. The parents would then pull out the money they've been saving for the kid in the real bank and make a matching withdrawal from the fake bank. Parents could even open a fake bank credit account for the kid and advance them money at a certain interest rate. They child then has to get that account balance down to 0 before you put money into their allowance. The parents could also have a second larger account for something like a college savings account. That way all their money can be lumped together in a real bank making interest but they can easily see how much of it is for their kid(s). Say for instance you want to deposit $100 a month from the time your child is born for college and you can get a 4.5% APR (ING Direct) but at this time you can't afford it. You could have the fake bank make regular deposits and interest payments while you work at freeing up real money. When the kid hits 18 you can log into the fake bank and see how much you owe your kid for their college tuition. Whether you have the real money or not you basically promised you'd pay that much so you'd then just be responsible for paying that much of the student loans. I think it's a neat idea and I'm going to make it for my own use at least. What do you think? If you think it's a good idea what features would you like. I'm going to at least have a payment calculator. Of course the fake bank would not require any personal information to use it.
