ok, so i have an idea. but would like some input., would anyone value from VERY cheap VPS's systems? like 32 - 50MB RAM? 5 GB disk space 200 GB bandwidth? processor's are 1GHZ. if you were looking for one, how much would you be wanting to pay for this?. ( resonable of course) thanks and hope to hear from you
well you could run your website on it. your Forum software most shared wont allow,. (vbulletin sometimes take high CPU) or if you need a small space for script testing or anything
# Free domain name* # 512MB Memory # 20GB Disk Space # 1000 GB Bandwidth # 1 IP Address # Parallels® Plesk Panel # Parallels Virtuozzo Container I am paying for this $50 month..so you can think how much will be reasonable price for this.. this VPS is provide by Lunarpages...
This will greatly depend on your requirements and on what you are planning to use the VPS for. I wouldn't recommend going for one of such cheap vps's unless your task is not resource intensive at all.
I think the RAM is too little, nowadays I wouldn't start lower than 128MB. 128MB would be fine for a small VPS, for example for running OpenVPN. I used a Xen VPS with only 128MB and it was actually quite useful.
thanks coderjosh for the input! alright well i think i have a good idea then, thanks for everyone's input! more is welcome though.
Yeah if i want to learn SSH then i can use it. Otherwise it's useless if it really is with 50mb of ram... - Prilep
i agree the RAM is to low for much of anything. I pay $10 per month for 1 GB RAM burstable to 1.5 GB 80 GB hard drive 350 GB band width michael
Yes I'd also say 512MB is great to start with. Especially now that there are quite many budget providers that offer this kind of VPS really cheap.
