Would you trust H&R Block to complete your self-employment taxes?

Its getting to be crunch time for taxes now and since I've moved, I'm not going to be using the accountant I used last year. With that said, would you trust H&R Block to do your taxes?

Has anyone had any good or bad experience with them?

    Thanks,
    -Chris

I myself wouldn't give them the time of day. In fact for the past 3 years I have used Turbo Tax and this is very simple and anyone can do this. If you have all your information, this is the best way to go.

    Just my 2 cents

I used them last year, but you have to ask who has experience there. They charged an insane amont of money. I had a great accountant this year and he charged a lot less, and I know he is qualified and up to date on all the new laws, etc. Since I made a lot more than last year, I knew I better get a pro. Ask around to get referrals from people you know in your area.

From my understanding, most of the people who work for H&R are plain people off the streets with very little experience.

I went to them once, I had a very messy tax situation. They said I would have to pay in $6,000. I found a more experienced accountant. We had to pay in only half of that.

Never go back again. Messed up my tax this year badly.

I'll be looking for a cpa next year.
