There's been a lot of talk on sports radio about trade comments from Kobe Bryant. If the Lakers did have to move him, who would trade for him and what would they need to package to get the offsetting salaries to meet the salary cap? My favorite team is the Pistons which could provide a number of players to meet the financial obligations but it's a club with great chemistry. L.A. would probably be more complete if Tayshuan and Rip were there instead of Kobe but L.A. also needs to have star (image) power. Is there any team that has a superstar that they'd trade? I'd say not Miami, not Phoenix, not Cleveland, not Denver and not Dallas. How about Toronto, Memphis, the Clippers or Minnesota? Who would being willing to complete a trade?
The Lions!!! I think it would be a mid-tier team that lacks a dominatrix. The best fit I have no idea though. I did not follow the NBA much this year
They'd ask the Lions to give up Jason Hansen, a few first round wide receivers, and the Mercury Division of Ford. I am not sure if Kobe be happy running screen plays.
So the Bulls give up Luol, Kirk, Ben, and the MJ statue and get Jelly Bean's son and beat the Pistons and Cavs?
Big name for big name but what are the line ups? They'd need to shuffle some more things to get it to work but it sort of makes some sense.
Bulls was the first team I thought of too when he asked for a trade. It bummed me out because my girlfriend just got me a Kobe jersey for my birthday in January. I have his #8 jersey and his #24 jersey. He said he doesn't want to be traded now so i'm very happy.
Being a Nuggets fan, I would let go every player on our roster except Carmelo Anthony. Rumor has it that Marcus Camby is on the block, we might be able to add him into a package. Allen Iverson would have to be traded, that would obviously never work. I'm having a hard time believing that Bryant will actually be traded. If the Lakers don't get equal trade value in return, they may be in a sticky situation. Kobe also has a no-trade clause in his contract, which states that he can turn down any deal involving himself. A few days ago, he said he wanted to be a Laker for life. Today he was asking for a trade, now he's 'ok'. He needs to make up his mind. I do love Kobe Bryant though, I wish him the best.
No, Hes a 1 man team. You can't put him on a well played team, The jazz.. The pistons, the spurs, the cavs.
He was only a one man team with the Lakers, due to the fact that he didn't have a good supporting cast. You can't blame the guy for taking most of the shots, nobody else can score on a consistent basis.
Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA and any franchise that would trade him would be crazy. It would be like trading Michael Jordan, that's just crazy!
I wonder how much blame he gets for players not flocking to LA like a number did when Shaq was there. There's always a few veterans out there that can be had but LA really hasn't picked one up since Carl and Gary.
hmmm... eversince my favorite NBA team is Chicago Bulls I think Michael Jordan, Pippen and Rodman are the best 3 to trade. But Bulls are out now poor
I think Minnesota needs a star like Kobe, one who can take over the team. I'm originally from Minnesota and is a fan of the wolves. But... I say trade Kevin Garnet for Kobe. Garnet deserves better, he been there too long and yet nothing has accomplished for him. Besides Kobe is a one man team. But other hand, what is Garnet going to do for LA.
Aleast he'll just be where the lakers started from huh? A real timberwolve fur coat and he'll just FINE....
