Would you submit 23000 articles to an article directory?

Out of curiosity, I check out the list of authors in Ezinearticles.
The first on the list is an author who has submitted a total 23,618 articles. The second author has submitted 20,173 articles so far.
That page lists 100 writers, sorting by the number of articles they submit. The 100th author on the list has submitted a total of 1316 articles.
Would you submit 23,000 articles to an article directory? What is the maximum number of articles you are willing to submit to an article directory?

My guess is that they are offering an article submission service, thus submitting articles that other people have written.

Yeah, I would second this. I would also guess that most of those articles are utter crap. Quantity and quality have a troubled relationship.

I could not agree more with both of you, so I would have to THIRD that motion (if there is such a thing) :D Now with regards to quality, I don't know, ezine seems to be the most difficult and strict of the directory in terms of quality. I have heard of people whose articles have been turned away for minor mistakes like a missing letter or a run-on sentence.

23,000 articles? Wow that's alot. I've gotten 9 approved so far lol.

I would submit as many as humanly possible because of the link juice you can get. Would I do 23,000? If I could I probably would, but it's taken me like 4 months to get my 9 approved lol.

They have probably been writing since Ezinearticles started. If they get accepted by the editors then why not. Lets hope they've gotten something out of all that writing.

I would give the largest quantity of quality articles that I could pump out. If I was giving 23k good articles to a directory I would expect to be doing very well too.

I don't think I could live long enough to actually write 23k articles.
I wonder what's their average length.

Say submit 50 articles a day, you can finish the submissions in about 460 days. Not a lot. Average article maybe cost around $4. $200 a day budget which would bring in a lot more than $4 back per article if article is targeted. I think this is actually a great idea! Especially if the same article is submitted to hundreds of directories. Say to 500 each and you'd be ending up with a million backlinks (assuming less than half gets approved, 2 links per article). Now, knock them with social bookmarks and ping them and build a giant link wheel around? Nah, too much trouble, I am sticking to one article per week to ezine and let other people play that game.

I checked out some of the articles of the top authors once before and they are mostly high quality work. The top guys usually have only one or two niches that they concentrate on and thus dominate the market.

It is a lot of articles but the return must be very good, otherwise why would someone submit over 23000 articles.

Did you check how long these people had been submitting articles? I bet it's over a very long period.

I never thought of that. I imagine there are lots of people posting articles on directories with their link and the other person's link as well, for a fee of course. Hmmmm......interesting!

I think they offer article marketing and submission services for their client so they are able to submit so many articles.

Those authors have been around since the beginning of times. That shouldn't bother you, personally i won't submit such number of articles to one site. I will rather optimize my site and make use of several article directories to acheive a high search engine ranking.
