I have a financial software that i am about to put up on clickbank, but i am worried about the price and cut... it is fully legitimate financial software that I sell offline for $2000 and im thinking about promoting it through clickbank, but i am worried about the price...as most things on there are around $40... do you think there are people who would pay a $1000 for software based off a clickbank landing page... and secondly do you think i would be able to find people to sell it for a 25% cut (it cost some serious money for this proprietary software programming and licenses so i cant give away 75% like most ebooks, etc) thanks for your input
I seriously doubt that anyone is going to pay that kind of money for something sold online unless it is well known and even then it is iffy. High end stuff needs to be sold via a network. Have you considered creating some type of dealer program. Sorry to be a negative. Edit: If I owned anything high end CB is the last place I would sell it. Most of that stuff is for losers.
Fully agree with colbyt. There are many real software companies on plimus. If you have a real quality software product, go to plimus. That is what i think.
I would contact people who know people in the accounting field. I would post on forums related to the product you are selling. Your 25% commission is fair. Even the most professional person would not scoff at that. You said accounting software so all I can picture in my limited experience is Quickbooks, Peachtree, MYOB, or a couple of others. What makes yours different? You don't have to post that but you need to define your niche.
Plus with CB you HAVE to give a 60 day money-back guarantee, and they can refund at any moment.. funk a $2k refund..
Yes, ClickBank is not your answer bro. That doesn't mean it would be a bad idea to create your own private sales page. It's something you can refer customers to.
You've probably decided against clickbank for your product and I think rightly so, but another spin is that you will have trouble getting them to agree a $2k sale to you - we requested our max limit raising to $250 recently and only just managed to convince them - their rules are you need a few good months with low refunds to go past $200 even
Or you could you know, be a good salesman... I've given Frank Kern - and others - over $2,000 without ever meeting them personally. To the OP: Get a merchant account, sign up to 1ShoppingCart or InfusionSoft and start your own private affiliate program. As for commissions, it really depends on what the market will accept. For example, the "standard" for high-priced products in the Internet Marketing/B2B industry is 50%.
Yeah I wouldn't use CB for that either. Just setup a private affiliate program or use Plimus since they have a lot of software on there. The 25% commission sounds fair. If it's a 2k product that's $500 a sale which is awesome. It would depend on how well it sells though because 2k for any product is a lot of money.
thanks for all the feedback...just to restate, i said 1k online, but i think i will try plimus, they seem reasonable...its not accounting software either... its financial software... so it doesn't do your taxes for 2k....its a like money merge software offered by u financial for $3500...its algorithims that will cut your mortgage down by 10 years, saving you 100-200k plus...and its all automated
You could always give it a try and if it does not work try something else. I may give it a try depending on the product and the sales materal you provide affiliates.
Without having checked their maximum price, apparently? Unless you're an established Clickbank vendor with previous products with low refund-rates, it's almost unimaginable that they'll approve a product over $100 from you there.
...and also, the maximum commission on a sale is $100, so you would have to pay each affiliate the remaining amount via Paypal or something.
I think you can create a simpler version (without all the advanced features) for Clickbank, and market it at a lower price. You can keep the premium version for corporate clients.
hartwm is an idiot, a fraud, a lunatic and a scammer MY COMMENTS (PAYPAL) He paid for 50 articles upfront. He only gave topics for 15 articles instead of 50 articles as he was supposed to do. So we did 15 articles and sent them back to him. He asked for 15 more articles. I asked for payment (not knowing or not remembering that he had paid for 50 articles and not 15) and said that work would be started once I received the payment. However, he did not reply for 8 days. After that, he replied that it was taking too long. So I asked told him the situation which he did not believe. Then he replaced those 15 titles with 35 titles and we agreed. Till now it is clear that the delay is because he was unwilling to confirm receipt of emails and reply on time. I always ask my clients to remind me regularly in case of delays, which he did not do either. Now he started abusing because of this. I got angry and started abusing back. He left negative feedback on DP and this cancellation request. When his project was complete from our side and the delays and problems were because of him. He wanted articles daily and several of them daily. According to our company policy, we require about 2-3 or more weeks to complete 35 articles and we had informed this to him every time from day 1, before he made the payment. He is unwilling to accept this due to his immaturity. Also, we don't have a refund policy if the mistake is committed by our client. We have a refund policy only if the mistake is done solely by us. If however, the client acts fairly and not like a fool, we often offer refunds even when the client is at fault and not us. I can offer him these solutions: 1. He should take back the negative rating on DP. 2. He needs to give us a few weeks according to our original promise if he wants original and high quality work. 3. If that is not acceptable, then we can rush and complete within 24-48 hours, but then the work will not be original and the quality won't be comparable to anything close to our regular standards. ALSO I am willing to give a partial refund of $105. Because we completed 15 articles, we deserve $45. You will get $105 as a refund. If you agree to this, let me know. Thank You And still, IMO this person isn't too bright and I would never do business with him again. But I am willing to give this refund. Also, 1. He has created multiple ids and is using them simultaneously. Esea media is his own id. So ideally both should be banned. 2. You can check our track record and you can check his. Any body with a below average to average IQ will immediately know who is at fault. @MODS Sorry for the multiple posts, but I have no choice. This lunatic is trying to play with my reputation. You can club my posts if you deem it fit
yes, this is also my opinion. i think you'd better do a lower price first, in this way, you also can know some useful suggestion from buyers, and then improve it, and then make a higher price.
