Would you put all of your eggs in one basket?

I am planning to start to churn out multiple websites in the near future.

Would it be too risky to keep on using the same hosting company? I am
happy with this new company that I am using but I am aware of the fact that if their server goes down, all of my websites could be offline until the problem is sorted out. The draw back of using different hosting companies is that I'd have to deal with many companies at different times eg. as and when it needs to be renewed etc.

    What do you think?

If the company is one of the better known ones i would not worry. If it is a new company i might.

If you are not satisfied with the sevices of the current company then you should definitely go for a another host. If you believe they can handle your websites then stick to them.

We hav multiple clients with multiple accounts on different servers, thus no need for them to go to a different host.

Perhaps that is the ticket for you?

For hosting, it's probably safe if you are on a dedicated server, if you got a good host. I've had a dedicated server for seven years and don't plan on changing hosts any time soon.

Good company should not be a worry. Find a host that provides adequate backup, make your own backup.

Please stay away from cheap deals. I believe you get what you pay for.

I also have a dedicated server, and I wouldnt dare return to another host.

Just make sure you do your research, test their customer service.

In some cases its good to put all blankets on the bed, other times its not.

I am happy with my host at the moment so far.
As toby says, it would be cumbersome to contact this host for payment enquiry and that host for support etc. I am hoping that my current one will continue to provide me with good service. A dedicated server is something that I'd like to ponder about in the near future after considering cost etc.

On another thought, would there be any implications when taking the search engines into consideration?
I am going towards the affiliate and PPC programme route.
I guess, if I ever get banned from adsense and if I happened to be hosting all of my websites with one hosting company, that could be tricky. However, I could switch the legal entity e.g. LTD company and an individual etc.

I dont understand why hosting with same company could be tricky for PPC.

Imagine getting ban of Adsense because your site is on same server as an allready ban url. I dont think it is possible.

It is very bad to have all your sites coming from one IP address. As long as your host has mulitple IP addresses, it will be fine
