Would you put Adsense on your commercial site?

How do you feel about putting Adsense or YPN ads on your commercial site? Do you think ads somehow make your site or company look less professional/credible?

I for one do this all the time to raise revenues to help offset advertising costs. Surely, many of ads are from competing services, but I figure that since people would do comparison shopping anyway, why not make some money from it? Besides, if they visit a competing site that cannot beat your prices/services, they'll return your site to make the purchase.

Yes. If your selling your own product it would look less professional to be linking someone else with a similar product. Don't you think?

But hey, if your making more money this way, who cares if you look professional -- I say f*** it :)

Good luck, hope I helped :D

If you are selling your own product, it has been observed putting adsense on the landing page generally reduce percentage of sales,
However , you can first try removing adsense for few days and see whether number of sales are increasing, you will yourself know what is best strategy for your website

Well I wouldn't do it! I think the revenues from ads would be negligible compared to the revenues of the actual service of the site.

maximizing your revenue is everyone's goal. I say keep the ads if you feel they earn enough money for you

I wouldn't put ads in no way on commercial site. Specially not, if the site is doing nice money.

Putting ads on your commercial site means that you are not serious about your business. And I never shop on a website that has advertising for competing products. In my opinion, only content websites should have ads; anyone selling anything should not have ads.

If you put adsense on your commercial site, your competitors's (product) can also displayed on your site
