Without any proof that this works, I personally would not buy such a product. It's easy to say that you earned 10 grand a month, but w/out proof such a statement has little value with most customers.
It is very hard to give you a price without knowing the contents. First you should find out from the seller who is he marketing the site, what are the conversion etc. Get as much info about the product from the buyer before you buy it. How much is it selling for?
The sales letter is OK, the design is quite nice, but it doesn't quite have the WOW factor. Perhaps because there's no proof, and not quite enough excitement built up through the letter (maybe BECAUSE there's no proof). If you bought it, I'd recommend using the techniques for 3-6 months and creating your own proof of earnings and case studies. Results based proof is a huuuuge seller. If you could provide a case study of a single blog that you took from 0 to even $1,000 a month within 60 days, you'd get a massive response from your audience. I'm sure with a bit of adjusting it would sell for $67-77, at a 65-75% commission. Should you buy it or not? Well.. what's the asking price? Depending on how unique the product is, I wouldn't pay a huge amount for it - especially if it has no sales history or built up assets like traffic or a customer list. Think about it this way: why not outsource the creation of an identical product yourself? Would that be cheaper/better value? What does the product have that's unique to this product that makes it worth money?
I agree, I think its important that you get the product itself and look over it, this should answer most of your questions. If the product is rubbish then do you want to promote a rubbish product ? If the product has true value then find some people to test run it and give them some coaching and all the help they need and then you have proof of how good it is.
