Would you pay to join an affiliate program or have you paid to join one?

Nope. Why should we have to pay to promote a program??!!!

Yo, mom, I hear you want to advertise my product free on the radio. I won't let you do that unless you pay me.

I actually agree, we think of affiliates as partners who help us to promote our product. So why would they pay to help us? :)

Actually I suspect the reason you are asking this question is because you have run into one of those MLM program that TRIES to make it sound as if they are an affiliate program to overcome the bad rap MLM has gotten.

Affiliate programs are ALWAYS free to join. If you have to pay a set-up fee or buy a marketing kit or something then it's not an affiliate program.

Merchants that value affiliate partners offer them free tools to help them be successful and never charge a fee to join.

Just a question for discussion. I have seen some affiliate websites that require you to pay a small "fee" to join for the software. I am involved with one but its free but its slow going so I was wondering if paying the small fee was worth it. Now I know!!

Do you mean pay to be an affiliate in the program, or pay to be a merchant in the program?

No, I even prefer programs that pay me just to join hehe..really no, I'd never pay to join an affiliate..why'd I? I mean ain't I making their life easy by promoting their products? So, they should be the ones paying me.

Yeah, you often pay to be a merchant in a program. It ranges from $200 to $3500+.

Clixgalore is free and very good.

You could pay like 50$ join bonus just to get that affiliate.

    Anyway, smells like MLM :)
