Anyone want to comment on this post at sitepoint - http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?t=243739&page=1&pp=25 Someone claims to have had a legitimate offer of 1 million pounds for their free email website. I can not see why anyone would pay this for an email service offering less space than hotmail and google. Just looking for a few opinions, do you think its worth 1 million pounds? Have you had any significant offers for one of your sites, etc?
Good luck to him, it is always good to see Aspen's signature with a million links within What's up old buddy
That guy has a snowball chance in hell of anyone giving him that, did he even leave the URL for the site? I have venture capitalists that contact me wanting to invest money in my business and it means nothing until you have a contract and money in the bank.
I know its hard to estimate how much a site makes but he claims it does $1500 a DAY. I know that he is not going to be making this through people paying for his email service, after all who would pay $4 a month for a service offering less space than gmail, yahoo, and hotmail?
Yes, he states that it is for fadmail com And if he makes 1500 per day why would he sell for only 1 million unless he only nets about 250,000 per year. Even that is a nice income though.
www.fadmail.com was the site....I'm still in shock. $1500 a day for email? He didn't even program the site...it's all based on everyone.net's backend.

If a lot of people use it, CPM and CPC ads would certainly bring that in. He doesn't say how many users he has, but I'd imagine its a fair ammount. Josh
What incentives do people have to use it? It offers nothing that gmail, yahoo, and hotmail does not + some of the larger storage email accounts cost $4 a month. The domain in my opinion is not great (someone is supposed to have offered $50k and $100k for this alone). Its not even ranked on the first page in google for his keyword "free email" and has only 8 backlinks in google so traffic can not be too good.
The guy is blowing smoke man, don't fall for BS, no one would offer $1,000.00 for that domain, let alone a million for a front site for everyone.net
It's a great marketing tactic for his site. All he needs is about 4 other guys to make a few comments to make you think it's a legitimate offer for his site and before you know it numerous forums are linking to his article and everyone is signing up to his free email to see how he's making his money. Even if it's not true he's still gained a fair amount of publicity from everyone.
I have venture capital firms looking at www.internetnamebank.com and I can prove that, this guy is blowing smoke
This conversation is still going on, more people seem to be believing him now - http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1756229#post1756229. I have not had many arguments in forums before, Anthony can you gimme some tips?
Believing what? BS..... The bottom line is that he would be lucky to get any bids on the site if he put it up on eBay
I cant beleive so many people believe this. The domain name "www.fadmail com" is supposed to have had offers of $50k aswell. Too many people read what people say without thinking for themselves.
I can start threads like that also, hey man a venture capital firm called me and offered $5,000,000.00 for a domain I bought yesterday called www.searchOS.com PS: anyone that gives me half of that can have it today, send your wire transfer to Chase Bank and the name will be transfered when we get the funds
