To staff: If I recieve any infractions for posting here then my apoligies, I really couldnt decide the best place to post but here.

I am thinking of coding my own unique script for a website that supplies it's members with a directory of products to buy and cashback offers.

    Example:

You buy a product for $20.00 and my website offers you a 25% cashback offer. You then buy the product from a third-party site and $5.00 (25%) goes to your account on my website. You can do this to many products and while buying products for yourself, you will earn cashbacks on my website which will be paid out on certain dates of the month providing you have a certain account balance.

In a way, I suppose this is a discount website or as some people may see it as 'getting paid to shop online'..

My question is, would you use this kind of site and what are your comments or suggestions towards this?

Thanks to all who replies, greatly appreciated. :)

There's no reason why wouldn't anyone.
But if you're jumping into this niche it'd be very hard to make it profitable considering the effort required and competition from sites like Quidco, WePromiseto etc

Yeah: there's a lot of competition on this niche. You could try to find some unexplored "subniches", or thinking of something kinda different. Keeping the same core logic you may try to do something else ;)

Buying from the internet is fraught with dangers so for me i would only buy from a well know reputable site, so if the offered "cashback" then I might well use the offer, but normally its offered as discount, which amounts to the same thing really.
