I would! I've been offered a job in Thailand and right now we're in the middle of getting our house ready to sell so we can do that.

San Mao of Taiwan has wrote some articles about Africa desert. These places are mysterious. Why not go to Africa if safety can be secured.
Another problem, Africa is too hot. But air conditioner can work.

I wouldn't move to anywhere that will put distance between me and core family. Even if I earn very well, I need to meet them at least one week every 3-4 months, lol.. :p

Will your family be included in the relocation? It's hard to have a long distance family relationship.

I personally wouldn't, It would have to be some serious cold hard cash to get me out of California and into a third world country.

My wife will be moving with me and that is all that matters to me. I have been living out of my home country for more than 5 years now and I don't plan on going back anytime soon. The salary is the only real thing drawing me to the job, 5K Euro is not really small change.

I would personally consider moving to Afghanistan the job market over there is just incredible and they need pretty much everything they can get :D with salary ranges from around 4,000$ a month all the way up to 10,000$ i'm in serious consideration as soon as the security situation improves that is :)

money is not everything in life my friend, specially when u r not single,
u first have to think about your dependents before your desires, their safety, future, prosperity
take all aspects into account first and then hit the target.

I think it does depend which part of Africa you're being sent to. It does sound however it's a great opportunity, and that the ocmpany is looking after you by offering you bodyguards and secure area. Take it, seriously

For me, no. It's too risky for Africa, and bodyguards can be bribed etc. Law and order are lacking in some cities. Money can be earned in many other ways.
