It's really not a question of making friends - I see it more as doing the decent thing. I think of it this way - how much does it cost me to lend (just plucking an arbitrary figure from the air) $125 for (just picking a random figure) 8 days? The answer is sweet FA. So for me to charge say 14% commission is extortionate because it's hugely out of proportion to my actual costs. Even worse to seize the opportunity from someone who's obviously desperate for the cash.

There was one time I was really close to making a loan thread. I had a bill, and I had the money, but since I had to pay the bill by paypal, I had to wait until a money transfer cleared on it to pay the bill. Luckly I had something to sell on DP, and it sold in a timely matter much to my suprise. So that saved me.

But anyways I won't say I won't lend anyone money because of that situation. But I will most likely lend money to someone trustworthy, and I wouldn't expect the money back though. I wouldn't mind getting it back, but I won't lend money if I'm going to sweat over losing it.

    no, I wouldn't !

I've had members from here and from my site ask for for a "loan" b4 and I just laugh..
I can't stand beggars in real life, and can't stand it online ;)

If someone wants 15$ they should WORK for it,, I can make 15$ in less then one hour easily..

There are alot of good people here. Thats not to say those who would not do it are bad.

I would not do it, I would ask the person to do a quick job for me for the $15 bucks.

I would do it if I trusted the person. If the person didn't pay me back I would file with PayPal.

I would if I had been talking to that member for a while and the member was a respected part of the community. Nothing over $50 though.
