I'd have no problem. Unfortunately, society and close family think otherwise ;)

It can be a good business, but it dilutes you / your personality a lot. It's like being a cop - you think everyone is a criminal.

Today is the last day of the Internext Expo if memory serves me correctly. It is a great conference if anyone is thinking of that industry.

I think you're romanticising too much about industry. If you want to do all behind the scenes: casting, organising shoot, web stuff, then it's no different to any other business so, why porn?

I have thought about it myself and checked out model agencies.

One guy that did it is the guy at dreamstash.com. He goes to Prague where the model agencies are cheaper than US (they were, not sure about now) and with a digital cam (technology is affordable now) and filmed his own stuff in POV style.

You need some money up front for air fare, hotel fare and model fee. Model fee is usually a few thousand per shoot but less than 10,000. Probably around 2000 to 3000 for Central/Eastern Europe.

The hardest part is setting up the affiliate network. If you're small then most webmasters will want to deal with you through ccbill. And I heard that starting with ccbill is not cheap.

Plus you need to film a lot of models before you have a site worth becoming a member of. I would say you conservatively need about 30,000 USD to start such a business.

Alternatively you can try to shoot your own full movies and sell by the movie. I am not sure how to do this though, if any distributors are interested in licensing your own filmed content.

btw I would be the actor, to save on casting male actors!!! Although I look more like Ron Jeremy :D
