Would you create a video for $1,000?

Hi, I'm thinking of hosting a video contest on my site (in sig), with at least a $1,000 1st prize, with a matching amount going to charity. I'd use objective measures like ratings, total views to select the winner so submitters didn't just think it was random chance.

Do you think lots of people on the web would enter this, or do you think they'd say "ho hum, just another contest"?

 

If I knew it was legit, yes I would create any kind of video for $1,000

 

Oh, sorry ... yes, it would be a legit contest, and nothing obscene. 1-3 videos would win based on total votes/views/comments/etc.

 

When will this be set up?

 

I'm thinking in the next month or so. I'll come back to the forums and announce it (but maybe under the contests section). Right now I'm just trying to find out if people would be interested. iFire - so far you're the only one

 

I'd do it too...now the idea will have to be hatched in the meantime but I miss video editing...I have all that I can do to keep up with my pictures!!
