Go with the .com bud, better all around than the .info and worth the extra money for SEO purposes. Good luck!

I use .info's, although I'm still working on my main one (not enough time atm). By the way, you can get .com for US$6 at the site in my sig if you don't want to wait until you can afford $9

I would but it to do some test bed but not for all serioud site. I did not say .info is that bad but they are usually much cheaper compared to other TLD so it is a much easier to make buying decision for any testbed purpose.

I like .info's because they are cheap and cute. I don't think they are bad for SEO. However, I'd have to do more research. For example, Ultimate-Guitar.TV ranks for big phrases.

I used to frown upon them until I bought about a hundred of them and monetized them. Their low entry cost and still picked up by google nicely makes for a decent profit. Some do better than regular .com sites.

I think .com is a bit expensive now and most of the best domain names are taken, i suggest to buy .info it's very popular at the moment and it's very cheap!
I bought a lot of .info domain names (actually at 1,99$, look my signature) and I can resell them easily.

Hello people, big thanks for all of you which answered me.

I already have a .info website and after doing some backlinks and SEO, it ranks at the second page of Google for a keyphrase so it is true: .Info are good and they are the same thing for .com.
But it is also true that .com is more popular than .com and in terms of flipping websites, i see more .com than .info so i think i will go for the .com.
But i have already see site with .info which are pretty popular like a dofolow directory which was rank in first resultst when i was searching for them, i have also see some .Info that was selled in Flippa, i also sell mine too due to the lack of money for my next project, if this one can be selled so it means that my next .Info can be selled too. Depending of the resultst of my sale, i will see if my final choice would be always a .Info or a .com.

Thanks for all the answers again.

Always look for .com domain, with that you can get bigger profits...
try.info only when you have .com unavailable and you are desperately wanting to use a domain on a particular niche.

coz then you have no choice but to go for .info, though search results can come in good numbers on .info site as well

People who say .info is "bad for seo" are stupid. Search engines don't care what the TLD is (unless we're talking ccTLD's, than those will rank higher in the country they happen to be searched from). They just look cheap and unusual in the eyes of humans.

You mean a .US will rank higher then a .COM in the USA ?

and .NET .ORG .INFO will be ranked the same as a .COM anywhere in the world?

In other words a .US as more benefits of ranking high in the USA and at the same time be ranked as a .COM around the world?

It seams to me that ccTLDs are more advantageous than gTLDs.

Never unless it could be a very very useful domain like someone else stated "seo.info".

Search engines do not care about domain extensions.
