Yes, I have one site that sends me 60-70 visitors a day. Considering google only sends me 200 I could quite happily have three or four of these links. Alos its good to get you traffic from multiple sources then a serp update doesn't effect you that much.
If thats an established site why not, but as long as I can have it for free I rather go for free . . .
well if we stop selling links then One board over DP will be closed and also my half pocket money. Well person can buy Nofollow link It will be assumed as advertisement link. so traffic and CTR will matter in that case.
could someone please guide me on what is a nofollow link? by far as my concern, i will buy (if i have the money ) any link type on a high traffic web sites
I just figured out today I got cheated by two semi-reputable members for selling me a link, and then putting a nofollow tag on it after I verified the link was there. Nofollow link is definitely completely useless for a no traffic site. Be sure you ask them if they're putting a nofollow tag.. Who the heck sells links on a no traffic website with nofollow tag anyway? Stupid scammers. @ yohanip: nofollow link means you don't get "credit", so google doesn't count it as a backlink
Like many others have said, I would only buy the link if the site I was buying the link on could provide me with a lot of traffic. If it was not going to do this, then it would be money wasted, which could have been spent in other places and gone to a better cause.
It's all about return on investment. If the link generated enough targeted traffic to pay for itself I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
I care more about Search Engine traffic than just any traffic.. So a "nofollow" link would do me no good.. So no, I would not buy a nofollow link..
Google only penalizes you if you have A LOT of outbound links. You could have an infinite amount of links from websites that are pointing to you and you will not be penalized for it. I would NOT get a nofollow link because its a waste of time. Remember also, anything that a competitor can do to hurt your website, then google WILL NOT penalize.
Say what? By that reasoning, not only this forum and others, DMOZ and other reputable directories, and most blogs should be penalized. I think you may need to do some brain toning and concentrate less on your abs! Personally, I do not buy links. But if I did, probably would not buy one with 'nofollow' attributes -- not for link building purposes anyway. On high traffic sites, maybe. Depends on where the link is and its visibility. Probably would have to side with banner images over a regular text link though.
