Would you buy a 3 word domain for $100+?

I'm trying to decide whether or not I should register some domains or not. On estibot, they show up worth $810 and the other is $2,300! But I'm afraid it isn't practical to sell a 3 word domain for anything more than $100. The words in the domain are pretty long too. Here's how the domain looks (lengthwise). I'll separate the words with a "|"

    xxxxxxxxx|xxxxxxxx|xxxxx.com
They only have letters and spell out some common words. The domains have to do with forex, so I'm pretty sure it has some potential in the future, if not now.

This is NOT an appraisal! I just want your look on domains that have 3 words or more.

If I wanted it and had a vision for it, yes I would. You're talking about reg fee which for me is a no-brainer if I saw a future in it. As for automatic appraisals, I don't even bother.

Well, I already got the domain so here it is. Forex is on its way to becoming an even larger industry. I got it for only $5 so I figured I should take a risk! :)

    TechnicalAnalysisForex.com
    TechnicalAnalysisStock.com

I didn't show them before because I hadn't registered them yet...

Results 1 - 10 of about 181,000 for "technical analysis stock".
Results 1 - 10 of about 25,400 for "technical analysis forex"

I'd check more things to tell you what I think about the domain, but at least there are over 10,000 Google results for each. Can't comment on whether it was a good buy or not since it's Sunday and I'm extremely lazy to do research on domains, but the stock one doesn't look that bad based on Google quote results.

The answer to your question is probably No but if I was to buy one I think the one you have looks good in finance etc where there is a lot of demand, good luck!

Foget about auto-appraisal sites, they're mostly a joke. Absolutely I'd reg a 3 word name if it was a quality name in the .com extention. I stress the quality.

I agree with htmlindex (in the latter point). Domain length correlates poorly with value. Saying 3-worders are not worth more than $100 shows ignorance of the market. Check out these past sales from NameBio.com:

    businessprocessmanagement.com
    $33,250

    certifiedpublicaccountant.com
    $32,450

    reversetelephonedirectory.com

    cheaphotelreservations.com

There is no correlation between length and value, slightest. But honestly though, the domain name looks reversed. It would read forexTechnicalAnalysis better. Anyway, good luck with your new buy. :)

first, dont believe estibot, it is not accurate, second some three words are awful some like makemoneyonline are very valuable, it really depends on keywords.

True, for 3 words domain, one of your keyword must target top paying industry such as money, porn and finance.
