Would you build a site on .WEB?

.WEB is finally moving forward after a $135 million auction and almost 10 years of disputes.

The extension sounds useful for websites, tools, SaaS, and online projects, but pricing is still unknown.

Would you build a real project on a good .WEB domain?

Or wait to see launch volume and renewal demand first?

I would if it was a real website for a real service: find us on the web!

My concern would be how stable the domain registrar is, they've paid all this money, had all these disputes - what does that really mean for my business? could htey pull the pin? could there be an injunction that turns off all the .web domains?

That feels more like a registry/TLD stability concern than a registrar issue, but I get what you mean. It's a good name, but I'd wait to see the launch and pricing before using it for anything serious.

either way, it's not my field, but if there's been problems in the past will there be problems in the future?
