I have a question for you bloggers out there. I am busy trying to find a way to capitalize on 20,000 views per day on Youtube videos, so we decided to try a blogging direction related to the topic and niche on Youtube, but we are having a tough time converting. We are a part of the Youtube Partner Program, but I am certain there are additional ways to convert a small portion of the video views each day. Would you bloggers continue blogging if it seemed as though it wasn't going anywhere? We are trying to get as creative as possible and monetize a percentage of those viewers but converting from Youtube seems very difficult to master. Any ideas or companies that you think could help would be extremely helpful.
And if you can't write-- find somebody who does and willing to share shekels in one way or another.. Mind me asking how hard was it to become a partner there, and what kind of money a video,of, say 100k views total can make? I mean I am curious about the general magnitude--does it pay like adsense (impressions/clicks), worse?
Thanks for your help. I actually write very well, I just don't have time to write and I feel as though I beating a dead horse by continuing without really seeing much of anything from a conversion perspective. I can't really comment on the Youtube Partner programs difficulty on applying as we already had some viral videos, so they just accepted when we applied. I've heard people mention it takes videos with 20K plus views on it before they allow you to join the program. I don't know what 100K view would pay, but I would guess around $100. I'm not sure if that's helpful enough, but I can't go into great detail there.
If you are getting that many views a day, seems a waste to let YouTube get all the revenue and hits from them. Not sure what your niche is or how you make the videos, but if you are proud of your work and think they will be a smash, then maybe you should set up a site and serve the videos yourself. You may take it in the shorts for a while until you get established, but may make a bundle in the long run (think JibJab here). If it is your own site, then you can get the ad money flowing in. All you got to do is keep being creative to support the venture.
Get some affiliate links related to the niche, then have a "Special offers" page. Link to it in your video descriptions.
creating a blog site is actually easier than those video conversions. If you have the talent and passion for writing, perhaps this method is for you. But if you're not good at writing at all, you can pay for content writing services, but that is really costly. So just try making your own blogs.
Don''t need to do much writing if it is a video blog. Just need a short introductory paragraph, which the guy is probably already used to writing for his YouTube videos.
Thanks to all for your help. I think the consensus is to just keep writing and they will follow and hopefully buy products. It's obviously not easy to figure out how to convert views from Youtube, but this will certainly be a fun task to see if I can make it happen. Thanks again!
Don't forget to add your new blog's address in the description, so your views will be visiting your blog too! Good luck
You can write anything as depends on your interest. Share your ideas with fresh content is good for blogging. I want to say not write too much .
It is all about offering things your viewers want. You have to entice them with good content/products or at least a good pitch. Don't be afraid of trial and error.
Yeah, I don't blog primarily for money. I have at least three blogs. One is purely personal and I don't even link to it from many places; another is more activism oriented, my idea blog -- no ads and only a few, discrete links to my other sites. The other blog, my tea blog, links profusely to my tea website, RateTea. I earn no income from any of the blogs, that's not the point of them. There are tons of bloggers trying to make money who aren't making any money. Tons of "successful" (in terms of views, traffic, links, visibility, reach, etc.) bloggers who aren't in it for the money. I've found that if you really want to make money, the best way is to lay off the self-promotional attitude and just be sincere in blogging for the sake of blogging...the money will eventually roll in if that's what you're looking for.
