Would you be in favour of adsense being in a larger font

    Hi guys,

As everyone knows, or should know, you can't mess around with the code that Google provides you.

How many here would like to see the font size of Google ads be dynamic? In other words, if we have a site that uses a slightly larger font, Google could have another option (like color, channel, etc.) where we can change the font size of the ads.

It would make the ads blend in more. When their is a font difference one can instantly tell that it is an ad.

Maybe we should suggest this to Google. Just me thinking.

Good idea,,,, but you would need to have control of the ad-box size to go along with this.

While you're at it,,, I reckon they should create 'intext' ads which work by hover-button (like Amazon are playing with). The fixed box sizes and mandatory 'ads by goooogle' are limiting and have become too common-place. G should trust their publishers and allow a greater diversity on the basis that they can advertise the fact that it's a G driven situation on the way to the result page, on the result page, or not at all.

I have to agree with you Elearn-uni.

Maybe we should contact Google. I think I will do just that.

Hey, as was mentioned if any people respond Google will probably listen

Nonsense. That would cause G that many headaches, they are already kind enough to let us choose our own colors to help blend in the ads into the site.

Don't be lazy and work your site's font layout around the ads. Nothing wrong with Arial last time I checked.

    Absolutely cannot happen.

Google ads are abused too much as it is in terms of trying to hide them in the content. Let something like this happen and within a year the ads would be a penny a click or worse.

    I see.

I do use arial. I'm not suggestion changing the font. I'm suggesting changing the size.

I was wondering if they would be abused? But if it matches the font size of the website I really can't see what's wrong.

Yes, a good idea to allow larger font size. There are lots of sites with large type, and lots of people with imperfect vision who prefer them for legibility ( I know, I'm one ). Google could let the webmaster worry about whether she is giving too much space to ads and whether that's distasteful to her visitors.
And hover-over text links would be nice, too. (but maybe users would quickly learn avoidance of them)......

thats a perfect idea... the object of advertising is to bombard the users without letting them know you are bombaring them with information... look at the superbowl commercials, they are actually considered entertainment now... and some of the costliest 30seconds of advertising space known... anything that can help an ad blend in without being deceptive should be a feature... including font size, color(which we already have), etc...
