I agree......I remember purchasing a leads package from a company for a very high price and got no conversions what so ever. When I contacted the leads personally I found they were never interest in what I was offering.

Since then, I have never purchased leads.....

Ah, yes I would agree most of those lead packages are a scam. Like buy a list of double opt in emails that have all been pre qualified to fit your product demographic... They're rubbish. I too have fallen for that in the past, as well as the guaranteed signup deals. Those are just people signing up to your site so they can earn 15c, they have no interest in your product or service what so ever.

I had enough of those scams, don't use them untill you can test the quality up front or someone you trust recommends them

To get quality traffic (real leads) you have to educate people and if they then choose to proceed to your website of their own will (with no incentives or bonuses) then they're truely QUALITY.

I am pretty sure I found the perfect way to do that, so I'm pretty happy now :)

Here's a funny one... You always could commission a leading CPA network to generate leads through their established network of affiliate. Won't be cheep

True, that's the reason I started spending the leads money on PPC and got better results.

PPC is OK at pre-qualifying leads that may be looking for you, It is however inefficient at pre-educating the masses to convert them to leads, this is because you just don't have enough text space in a Text or Banner Ad (synonomous with PPC) to comprehensively explain your unique value proposition.

Also, PPC campaigns are usually competing with other ads.

This is where I favour well written articles. Articles of course come with the dilemma that you have to get people to read them.

So, in preference to this I prefer short 30 second video infomercials.

Video is fantastic at converting people to leads. In fact, LeadsByVido.com pre-launch stats have been a real eye opener.

20% Click thru rate on the videos and those converting to sales at a rate of 8.5%.

I'm sure those making sales are not saying those leads stink :) especially since they cost nothing to acquire.
