Let's say you have a blog about health...would you accept an job to review a casino site?

Would it affect your blog/ site's credibility.Love to hear your opinion.

    Would it hurt my pagerank?

    Thanks!

Some of your readers won't take the review too well, especially if you try to hide the fact that it is sponsored. I've seen readers who have stopped frequenting certain blogs because they do paid reviews.

When a link from your site looks unnatural, it could raise a red flag at Google.

If you're doing the review with the no follow tag ( in other words solely for traffic purposes), you should be fine IMO.

I have been on the same situation before, but I denied all the offers. Besides the ones mentioned above, it's like unethical selling of your online reputation. The reviews will not sound convincing, and readers may think you're just doing it for money - not because you believe on the products.

Thanks guys! I appreciate it. I guess I'll just not do it. I have been trying to stop doing paid posts ...but it is sometimes too tempting.

I really wanna focus on the content. *sigh*

When I read blogs that contain unrelated reviews it really puts me off. If there is a note to let readers know it is paid it's slightly better - so long as every other post isn't a review. Blogs like that just don't offer much value to their readers.

No, for me it needs to be relevant, its confusing too for visitors to see non related ads.

no its not worth it, you risk the visitor hits if your advertiser is not relevant to your content

I am going to go against the grain here.

I will review anything and everything from garden furniture to proceedures to extend your penis and it has not affected my blogs visitor/traffic wise once single bit.

Almost every month I have seen my traffic rise and the months when it has not has been because of my lack of posting.

I have not had one complaint.

My pagerank are at zero but I've never cared about them.
