your life would be shortened by, let's say, 15 years?

My friend and I were talking about doing things that make a lot of money, but at the expense of health, such as taking drugs to improve your performance (ie, EPO in terms of sports).

    It's basically the similar risk.

I feel the same way. But a lot of people take all sorts of health risks for the potential benefit of fame and fortune.

We (my friend and I) were talking about professional cyclists after reading about the former Olympians from East Germany (and many other countries) dieing at an early age from Cancer after taking all the performance enhancing drugs.

    Or how about...

You have a 50/50 chance of dieing a painful and earlier than normal death?

I wouldn't. You only get to live once. I would like to enjoy my life as long as I can. I believe in God. But I also believe when you die you wont live anymore not even in heaven.

Man, i dont care how much i will get, being 80 year old guy, is no much interest, just to see what is happening and compare to what i had when i was 19, man, this is not a life. Life is wiping out old to replace with new, i dont care when i will die, if i will this is what's meant to be

It depends on who you ask the question, there are people who literally do that, as in selling their kidney, or more accurately, going in prison for someone else, and usually the price is nowhere near what you stated, like %0.001 of it. People do extreme things under extreme circumstances, it's easy to sit on a safe couch and say "nah, nevah"

That's just it, people do say "yes" by doing things that will likely shorten their lives for the immediate gratification of fame and/or fortune.

My example of athletes taking drugs to improve their performance so they can win. Thus they get the fame of winning and get big endorsements, commercials, and write a book or two.

I don't think I can do that, what's the use of money if you are not alive to enjoy it.
