would u prefer a foreigner bf/gf/husband/wife?

I like dark skinned women...Hispanic, Indian, etc. And yes, I would pick a non-American woman because many American women are....not my type

I think the maintenance level for American women is highest. A lot of American men are tired of it and look elsewhere for alternatives

I prefer local and married a local “Hey I’m not local”. I’m exactly 50% PT 50% German born in S.A… What does that make me “confused”…

for me, it has less to do with "race" (who made up this term??) and more to do with culture. can you share a common world? do you have the same beliefs? thats what more important in a marriage.

for me, probably local because foreigners are so open to the idea of divorce. i believe in the instution of marriage, and divorce is of course no option. i could never marry someone who thought the solution to marital problems is divorce.

 

Well im English white but my girlfriend (for almost two years now) is a (I hate to call her this, but she hates being call chinese) "hong-kong-ese" (shudders at the idiocy of that word).

Anywho, no real preference, met my girlfriend at my college in UK, she has only lived in UK for 1 year, her English is pretty much flawless though (Ielts leve 7 for those in the know lol)

Of course I have to say I still have no pref because of course I could never want another woman (girlfriend is watching carefully) lol, but yeah now I kind of feel myself leaning much more towards Cantonese (not mainland) since being with my current girlfriend.

It doesnt even have much to do with looks or anything, I just think on the whole Cantonese (well most asian girls actually) make much better partners, I now realise all my past western girlfriends have been EXTREMELY high maintenance, not-as-trustworthy, shallower etc

Dunno probably only my own personal experiences *shrugs*


Oh and for those talking about miced-race being more attractive, thats something my girlfriend talks about NON STOP, even though I dont think there could be much truth to it, but she always insists that chinese mixed race women tend to be a lot prettier, but she thinks chinese+portugese make the best mix.



AND to all those getting touchy about 'do you prefer local or foreign', 'race', 'skin' etc give it a rest, no one is being racist or pigeon-holding anyone here, of course we all understand and agree it is based on whats inside and not outside that matters, but you cannot escape from the fact that different cultures (hence races) have fundamental character, physical, psycological and behavioural differences. Just enjoy the topic for what it is
