I think I have a way to marry a MLM business with online marketing. The MLM is about 2 years old and is focused on Health and Wellness. I want to promote two ways 1) Retailing their products to the general public. 2) Promoting the business side. My idea is to use Adsense and link to a landing page that has nothing to do with the MLM promotion, more like my own rebranding. Should the landing page concentrate on a few products (maybe even just one) or should I show all of them? From reading the great posts here, I notice ppl trying to make a small % on products. My thinking is that I could get wholesale pricing and mark them up 35-50%. The bonus with MLM is that it all contributes to my personal monthly volume. Also, they handle billing and shipping, but I would have to integrate into my site. Is this a worthwhile approach?
It might work, but it seems a bit cumbersome to pull off. Personally, if I were going to try and set up a system like you are suggesting, I would use a traditional drop shipper and not an MLM company. There are many drop shippers that carry excellent health and wellness products. BTW...if you go ahead with your plan, check the MLM's TOS. Some MLM's forbid what you want to do. Jim
I know one company that is very stingent on how you do anything like that and it is a wellness company. You have to check their TOS like Jim says. There are other ways of using the web to promote it though. Just get creative.
Thanks for the responses. I'm going to have to research a little more. Maybe there is a better way without MLM. I found this site to have a product edge. I will take a closer look at the Terms of Service. More creative ways to promote, would that be like blogging and maybe talking in the appropriate forums. I'm really just looking for an edge, a way to standout and provide value to the customer.
